Deep Roots Return and Refund Policy
We reserve the right to refuse any refund or return.
You may return any plant for a full refund within 48 hours of the time it was purchased. The plant must be in like new condition with no breakage, have all original tags, be in its original container, and accompanied by the original sales receipt.
The eligibility for a return is waived if the plant has been planted, is in any sort of stress due to under or over watering, is damaged, or if the 48 hour grace period has passed.
Returns on Special Order plants will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the retail price.
Plants that are on clearance are not eligible for any returns or refunds.
Custom potted arrangements cannot be returned.
Plants that were delivered can be picked up for an additional fee equal to the delivery fee. The original delivery fee will not be refunded.
Our plant guarantee:
We guarantee our plants for 90 days from the time of purchase (excluding plants not covered by our guarantee, see below).
We guarantee that all plants are in good health, pest and disease free at the time of purchase, true to name, and well rooted.
Our plant guarantee does NOT cover the following: Vegetables and herbs, Hanging Baskets, Annuals and Perennials in 4” and 6 packs, Indoor Plants, and clearance items.
Plant failure due to pests and/or disease is beyond our control and is the homeowner’s responsibility to recognize and treat for appropriately.
Our guarantee can be waived for any of the following reasons: Improper watering, improper maintenance (pruning, feeding, spraying, etc.), improper planting, placing the plant in the wrong sunlight exposure, taking the plant outside of Sunset Zone 24 (Los Angeles County), or any other reason deemed to be not a result of faulty plant material.
The diagnosis of plant failure and determination of eligibility for a refund will be made by our nurserymen.
It is highly recommended that the customer contact Deep Roots as soon as there is any indication the plant is not doing well so that the death of the plant can be avoided. Most often times it is a simple fix and the plant can be saved and rejuvenated.
The advice given out by our nurserymen is simply a guideline for the customer. The variables inherent in gardening such as micro climates, gardeners, and changes in weather make it extremely difficult for our nurserymen to give exact instructions on watering, placement, feeding, spraying, and so forth.
We are here to help the customer learn to do it themselves.
We base our advice on the information given to us by the customer about their specific garden.
ALL OTHER GARDEN CENTER ITEMS:
Any non-plant materials such as pottery, fertilizer, soils, gift items, etc. can be returned for a full refund within 90 days of the time of purchase. The item must be in like new condition in its original packaging, unopened, and showing no signs of wear. The customer must have the original sales receipt.
Defective items will be replaced with the exact same item, and we will check to make sure it is in perfect condition before the customer leaves.
The following items are NOT eligible for any return:
Consignment items (Rain Barrels, Beach signs). ALL sea-life (shells and corals), and clearance items.
Returns on items that were special ordered will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the retail price.
FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS AND FRESH CUT FLOWERS:
We provide no guarantee on how long a customer’s flower arrangement will last.
We do not offer any refunds or returns on arrangements or cut flowers.
If an order goes out that is incorrect and does not meet the specifications of the customer we will replace it with the correct item or refund a reasonable amount of the cost.
We do not provide full refunds for arrangements that are kept by the recipient.
